2014 was absolutely the best year I've ever had, automotively speaking. Here's what I was up to this past year...
In January, I traded in my lowly, albeit manual Civic LX for something with some balls: an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . 286hp 3.5L V6 vs a 140hp 1.8L 4. Everything about the TL is better than the Civic. Sorry Civic, you were a great little car, but I do not miss you one bit!
April was a big month. First, I helped launch !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! which you all know about already. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for our blog, and we just passed 1500 followers. We have an awesome group of people sharing their interests about this hobby I really got into over the past year.
I also helped Dusty Ventures with a huge project that is still in the works. I got to meet opposaurusrex, Cazzyodo, EssExTee, Dusty obviously, and Rapheal Orlove himself, plus a bunch of cool people that know Dusty. Here's a teaser shot of what Dusty forced us to go through for an entire day. Hopefully he's able to finish it soon!
In August I finally made it out to Monterey, CA for car week. A huge item crossed off the bucket list. I must have looked at 2000 cars, easily. I went to the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I also checked out the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and Gooding auctions where I got to meet Opponaut 55Buick, Oversteer Scientist.
Best of Show winner Ferrari 375 MM
I also got a turn with the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! while I was there and got its picture taken with Peter Martin and Sir Jackie Stewart.
In October, I scooped up this sweet little !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's got 57k on the clock and an awesome !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's in storage now for the winter, but I plan on cleaning it up a bit and taking it to every cruise night I possibly can. Its basically a car sized skateboard that you sit in.
I'm hoping next year is just as good. I'd love to make the trip to a New Canaan Cars and Coffee and maybe get to a rally event. Maybe we'll have a New England Oppo meet too.

I'm jealous! Awesome year.
Random question, stock wheels on the civic? They look.. Good! Love the Acura BTW. Needs more kinetic blue!

thanks! They were Honda Crosstour 17's.
I would have loooooved Kinetic Blue but there were only two Type s manuals for sale at the time and both were black. The black is nice but it's so hard to keep clean

The legends of the autobahn dump has made me decide to try to go to car week next year.. Thanks!!

definitely! even if you don't go to the pebble beach concours there's so much to see. The auctions were like $40 to get in and walk around. I think Legends was around that much too. Concours D'LeMons and the Little Car Show were free. Pebble Beach was like $300 :(

Ouch! Didn't expect pebble beach to cost that much, but I guess you gotta pay to play..

yeah the money there is insane. It's like Disney world for super rich people. They had $1000 bottles of champagne for sale at concession stands.
If you buy your ticket beforehand it's only $275. Kids under 12 are free

that's crazy! I wonder how much money they make every year. I guess it's worth it if you really love cars.
